the tug - mixed media, charcoal and oil. to this point one of my most challenging pieces. the charcoal was quite soft, and kept breaking. it expresses nothing in particular, just my mood at the time.

mr. sandman - a mixed media, pen-an-ink and colored pencil contour drawing depicting the fruits of a dry harvest. in 1990, in Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Haiti and Nicaragua less than 50% of the rural population had water supply coverage. since, each of these countries have made significant improvements toward meeting Millennium Development Goals.

the dammed -a 2-D mixed media piece of watercolor; clay; rocks, glass, metal, and ceramics from the alley behind 9th & Quincy St, NW (D.C.); and chain from Old School Hardware (D.C.)  on sustainable plywood. it is a visual play on the political influences on access to safe drinking water and the people that thirst for it.”Within countries, regulatory frameworks will need to be developed, along with the capacity to implement and independently appraise Water Safety Plans as a standard feature of ensuring sustainable access to safe drinking-water ” (WHO-UNICEF, 2003-2010).
